Landslide Victory for Debaters!

The MPMS Debate team, coached by Mrs. Carabello, competed in the 37th Annual Morris Area Debate on May 20 at St. Elizabeth University.
They argued for the resolution  “The United States should require a year of mandatory public service from its citizens.” 

All four teams won their individual debates! Debate is part of the academically gifted and talented curriculum. Team members worked on skills
related to argument and public speaking throughout the second semester, and competed against their classmate to try out for the team.
