Getting to Know Our Jr. Lancers 💚
As we settle into the new school year, our school counselors will make time to meet briefly with students to get to know them, build relationships, and establish positive connections. Beginning this week and continuing throughout the year, students will be invited to meet with their school counselor for a brief check-in. These meetings are not intended to be formal counseling sessions; rather, they are an opportunity for our counselors to learn more about each student, develop rapport, and ensure students know there is a trusted school counselor they can turn to when they need support. Most check-ins will last approximately 10 minutes, though some may be a little shorter or longer depending on the conversation and what comes up. We are excited to take this time to connect with our students and build the relationships that help make MPM a safe, supportive, and welcoming place for every Jr. Lancer!

Hello Jr. Lancer Parents!
Welcome to the new school year, and we hope you are all settling in nicely! We are the School Counselors at Mount Pleasant Middle School, and we are thrilled to be here supporting your children for the 2026-27 school year. Whether your family is returning to our school community or is completely new, we are excited to partner with you to make this a wonderful year!
Here’s a little bit about each of us:
From Ms. Iannuzzi:
This is my 24th year working as a School Counselor in education, and my 21st year here in Livingston. Over the past two decades, I have had the privilege of helping thousands of middle schoolers navigate the unique academic, social, and emotional milestones of early adolescence. My extensive experience has taught me that students thrive when they feel safe, heard, and supported. My goal is to ensure every student has the tools they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally, and I look forward to supporting their growth. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, and you will usually find me at a field cheering on my daughters at one of their sporting events. I’m also a lover of the beach, travel, concerts, pickleball and my new found hobby of mahjong!Â
From Mr. Fischer:Â This is my 6th year as a school counselor and my 1st year in the Livingston Public School District. Throughout my six years as a counselor, I have spent one year as a high school counselor and the remaining years as a middle school counselor. I am also very familiar with the Livingston community, as it is the town where I grew up. For the past eight years, I have
also had the privilege of serving as an assistant coach for the Livingston football team. I am passionate about helping students navigate the academic, social, and emotional challenges that come with middle school. I am excited to provide guidance, encouragement, and support as your children grow throughout their 6th-grade year. I look forward to working with
your families and helping make this transition to middle school a positive and successful experience. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and coaching football and basketball. I have a true passion for counseling and am grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on the LPS community.Â
Please feel free to reach out to your child’s School Counselor whenever you have questions, concerns, or updates about your child’s well-being. Thank you!
